The club has a number of coaches who provide coaching in sea kayaking, white water kayaking, white water and flat water canoeing,
Our coaches are all qualified to the level they are teaching at, hold current first aid certification, are PVG checked and have attended child protection training.
The club has a number of leaders who can run sea kayaking, white water kayaking, white water and touring canoeing sessions, Both day trips and weekend or longer expeditions.
Our leaders are all qualified to the level they are leading at, hold current first aid certification, White Water Safety & Rescue training are PVG checked and have attended child protection training.
Our pool sessions cater for all abilities from beginner to expert.
Attending coaches can help with basic techniques from individual strokes through to eskimo rolling.
Trips - Club Trips and Peer Trips
CLUB TRIPS - the club runs trips throughout the year, these a sanctioned by the club committee and are run within the remit of the attending coaches/leaders. See trip approval policy in the Forms page.
PEER trips - the forum page allows members to communicate with each other, this includes arranging informal paddles, these are not sanctioned by the club and are paddled at your own risk.
The club has a comprehensive store of equipment which is available for members to borrow free of charge, there is however a small daily fee for sea kayak borrows on non club trips.
As we have a duty of care to members - new members may only borrow equipment after being assessed for competence by a member of the committee.
